25th September 2007. Rabbit.

Its the Mid-Autumn Festival a.k.a Mooncake Festival today. We had our usual family dinner for small occasions such as this. Next, we head outside where a table and some chairs or stools are set up at the porch. The table would be filled with mooncakes, a pot of good solid chinese tea, some tidbits and of course my favourite, grapes. We will then enjoy spending time together under the bright moon, and me trying to figure out where is the rabbit in the moon as so legend said. I will usually light up some lanterns, hang them at the side so it would be bright enough for everyone to see what they are eating. I will then also start playing with candles, making the whole porch full of coloured wax, which I always have trouble scraping them out the next morning.

This year would be a different kind of celebration for me. My parents came down to damansara here because all their daughters are now residing in KL. We had family dinner, as usual. No outdoor event this time. All of us stayed in to watch TV, where the rest of us are glued to the screen, while at the side, my mom would be "talking" to my second sister, whom at the same time, trying to watch TV. Its actually quite a common scene since she is the only one that will respond to my mom while TV time. We had mooncakes in apple shape with apple flavor and one that has Pu-Er tea. Yummy. We had chinese tea too, just that we had it in Ikea's famed RM1.90 white cups instead of those tea sets' cups. Forgot to buy candles this year. Oh well. Did break for less than a minute checking out on the moon tonight, hoping I could finally see the rabbit. Well, no luck this year.

Had a terrible time during my facial treatment today. I slept throughout the whole time, and I had a nightmare! Imagine, it was cold and I had a nightmare which took place in the store too. =_=" Driving back was insane. Wasn't so sure whether is it me or the cars in front who kept braking, causing me to do the emergency brake. I was sleepy though...

Me heading back to Ipoh tomorrow. Glad to know that there are some people back. At least I got things to do for this week. Passed my first 3 papers and waiting anxiously for the last one. Holiday holiday holiday!!!

I think I am addicted to coffee. Especially to Starbucks. Darn.

So I am back from my island holiday which happened to be Singapore. It was my first time there. Everyone was surprised at this news. Sorry for being 'ulu'... Traveling there was crazy long, 5 hours ride and I felt like screaming. Poor me, how in the world am I going to survive traveling to UK, if that happens.

I had good Japanese food, new shoes!!! The highlight would be the thirst-quenching lychee martini which had the right amount of sweetness and liquor. I had three glasses in less than an hour. Hahah... call me alcoholic. Thats because it was happy hour which was from 5-7pm, $10 per glass compared to the usual $20. And guess what, steak sandwiches were served during happy hour. And its FREE. And its not cheap sandwiches, it was good. As in, really really delicious. Yep, welcome to Mortons where a piece of steak costs around $80. I had 5 sandwiches, which seems to be equivalent to a piece of steak. There is also the MOS burger which I had it for supper and dream it in my sleep later that night. Seriously. Well, it was good food all the way and I ate like it was all free, even though it was all under my sister's tab. Heheh. Think I better do something about my weight.
